In the afternoon, Gao Bo, the company’s director and general manager, made a keynote speech on the industrial transformation and upgrading of Chifeng Gold at China (Luohu) Gold Industry Supply Chain Upgrades and New Business Forum. The speech was made from three aspects: the basic situation and trend of China gold industry, the development of Chifeng Gold and the attempt of industrial transformation.

In his speech, General Manager Gao pointed out that China’s gold industry has experienced a long period of rapid development and has now entered a critical period of accelerating the transformation of development mode and actively implementing industrial transformation and upgrading. On the basis of stabilizing the main business of gold, Chifeng Gold follows the direction of national strategic development and extends its industrial chain to the comprehensive recycling field of resources. In the process of transformation and upgrading, Chifeng Gold actively uses the power of capital and takes advantage of financial instruments to serve the development of company. Finally, General Manager Gao also put forward some personal suggestions on the implementation of the current “deleveraging” policy.

At 4 p.m., Board Secretary Zhou Xinbing presided over the Mongolia Mining Investment Promotion Conference. He said that as is known to all, like Inner Mongolia, Mongolia features an immense area, a sparse population and rich resources. Its reserves of coal, copper, gold and other mineral products rank at the forefront in the world. Mongolia and China have complementary advantages and location advantages in the cooperation of mineral resources, and now Mongolia becomes one of the target countries for Chinese mining companies to go global.
At the same time, Mongolia was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with China. During the “The Belt and Road” International Cooperation Summit Forum in 2017, President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang met with the Prime Minister of Mongolia respectively and vigorously promoted to synergize the “The Belt and Road” Initiative with the “Development Road” Strategy, which will provide new impetus for the good-neighborliness and friendly cooperation between the two countries. The two sides have reached an important consensus on accelerating the synergy of China’s “Silk Road Economic Belt” and Mongolia’s “Prairie Road” Initiative and it will create new opportunities for bilateral economic and trade co-operations.
The head of Mongolian Policy Department, Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, the Consular of Mongolian Embassy in China, Mongolian Mining Production Technology Department, the CEO of Mongolian Mining Exchange and the International Affairs Manager of Mongolian Mining Exchange, made speeches on the issues of mining investment in Mongolia at the conference.
At the conference, Chifeng Gold was invited to host or deliver speeches in several sub-forums, which attracted great attention of the participants. Many participants made exchanges and communication with hosts and speakers, exchanged business cards and established contacts.
